1.If you are talking about politics:The Prime Minister of India is also a volunteer, which means that it is popular among the public. Most people have accepted their ideology and the number is rising daily. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is present everywhere else in this country.
2. In the context of religion:Many religious leaders related to all religions and castes are associated with the VHP. At the first conference, VHP convinced them to join hands to eliminate ambiguity. VHP has a significant impact on religious customs
3. In the context of network:As stated before, RSS runs branches in all corners of the country, even in some foreign countries. Whenever they are in some disaster or disaster situation, there is a high chance that local volunteers should be there and start their work and call volunteers from other places.
RSS AS BOON FOR OUR COUNTRY:-
Remember the floods in BIHAR, Six Indian Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh supporters, service Bharati, Ganga Samratra, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Bajrang Dal, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and Vishwa Hindu Parishad workers provide food, medicines and survival equipment victims in the state, flood affected districts.
"About 11,000 of our staff are in the service of the flood victims. We have reached about 66,000 victims so far. We are giving them food packets and medicines every day,"
Remember those people who are the helping hands in several crisis situations like Uttarakhand floods, rehabilitation ops after natural and manmade disasters - several of them belong to the shakhas where they are trained to operate under adverse conditions and be the helping hands that can work in tandem.
There must be truth in their working towards caste upliftment if one of their own rose from being an ordinary man to the Prime Minister who incidentally refers to himself as the Pradhan Sewak - in keeping with the RSS tradition.
RSS has stood in for the army at several instances especially in times of yore when the then Prime Minister, Nehru himself would praise their selflessness.
Today, in a rather unfortunate turn of events, the wing has begun to showcase another side that is reflected in the other answers in this thread. It could be seen as a reverse push of the previous Governments in the direction of minority appeasement in the name of secularism.
As in everything the world has to offer, a push in the opposite direction does not necessarily make things equal - it could well topple things over and that may be the nature of the recent turn of events.
RSS is unable to keep that balance any more and several senior people are seen instigating masses to rise up against other religions in a bid to bring Hinduism to the fore. That may well not be what Hinduism stands for and that could be the reason for the recent rise in negativity towards the shakha.
But the fact remains, this is our country's most reliable work force that instils a sense of pride and ownership of the country amongst its members. Something that would otherwise be a forgotten emotion. Channeled correctly, the RSS may well be praised for what they do and not derided as the answers mostly appear to be doing.
